    With the issue of privacy on the Internet becoming so important, we want you to know that Mexico Connect honours your privacy, and to understand that by accessing our URL, using our services or posting to our various Forums, your right to privacy will not be compromised.

    To that end, here is our Policy and Practice regarding your personal information.

    What information do we collect?

    1. For each visitor to our URL, where possible, our Web server automatically recognizes only your ISP's domain name, but not your e-mail address.
    2. We collect only the domain name, but not the e-mail address of visitors to our Magazine and Web site.
    3. We do collect the e-mail addresses of those who:
      • post messages to the forums;
      • communicate with us via e-mail;
      • post to our Classifieds Ad section or other commercial sections.
    4. We do aggregate information on what pages consumers in general access or visit, and information volunteered by the consumer, such as survey information and/or site registrations.
    5. We use third-party advertising companies to serve ads when you visit our web site. These companies may use information (not including your name, address email address or telephone number) about your visits to this and other web sites in order to provide advertisements about goods and services of interest to you.

    What we do with the email addresses we do collect:

    1. The information we collect is used to improve the content of Mexico Connect.
    2. The information we collect is used by us, and only us, to contact consumers for marketing purposes and is not shared with or sold to other organizations.
    3. If you supply us with your postal address on-line, you will only receive the information for which you provided us your address.

    Use of cookies

    A cookie is a small amount of data that is sent to your browser from a Web server and stored on your computer's hard drive. We use cookies in a limited way to help deliver advertisements, to identify unique browsers that visit us and to track usage throughout our site. We also use cookies on our site to make the log-in and subscription processes more convenient for users.

    Other companies which place advertising on our site also have the ability to assign their cookies to you in a process that Mexico Connect does not control. However, cookies cannot be used to identify individuals, only machines, so these advertisers will not know who you are.

    Mexico Connect Subscription

    In order to subscribe, subscribers provide Mexico Connect with personal information including name, address, e-mail address and credit card information. Mexico Connect usues secure encryption to protect your information and keeps all such information strictly confidential and does not reuse, resell or redistribute it in any way.

    "@mexconnect.com email service"

    The Mexico Connect mail service (yourname@mexconnect.com) is a mail service that individual subscribers to Mexico Connect can make use of to send individual e-mails. While this tool cannot be used to send mass "spam" mailings, Mexico Connect has no control over how our subscribers use it, and any e-mail sent through it originates with, and is the responsibility of, the sender, not Mexico Connect. However, subscribers who abuse the @mexconnect.com mail service will lose their accounts.

    The Forums

    Mexico Connect subscribers who use the Forums provide us with a name, password and a working e-mail address. We use this information to set up your account. We do not sell or redistribute the Forum membership list and will not send you e-mail at the address you provide, except for infrequent announcements relating to the Forums or as needed to resolve issues that may arise with your Forums account. The e-mail address you register with Mexico Connect will not be posted in the forums if and when you post comments there, but you are free at any time to substitute an alternate e-mail address if you wish to. Participants in the forums are expected to comply with the rules governing the area, but we cannot control third parties' use of information you may choose to provide in such a public forum.
