As visual artists with training in the arts and educations in anthropology, Darian Day and Michael Fitzpatrick have spent decades journeying to far-flung points on the globe. From the back roads of France to the plains of East Africa, from the white sand beaches of Southern India to a Rio convulsed in Carnival, a camera has never been very far from hand. Darian and Michael now make their home in Mazatlan, Mexico, the latest stop in a lifetime that has been marked by a fascination with places and people beyond the horizon.
Since taking up residence in Mexico, Michael and Darian have been working on the creation of OldenMexico.com, an extensive series of fine art photographic images, available online as prints, canvases, and cards. Now comprised of more than 1,000 titles and growing, the imagery of Olden Mexico is well known among its aficionados for its pungent colors and painterly textures. The entire collection is available online at www.oldenmexico.com.
