Gale Randall became hooked on travel to Mexico on a crazy trip to Puerto Vallarta and Guadalajara in the late ’60s. She admits, though, that her passion for Mexico may in fact be genetic, as she’s the granddaughter of colonial historian Herbert E. Bolton. A freelance editor and travel writer, she lives in Palo Alto, California with her husband Howard, peripatetic daughter Kim and Roxy the cat.
